AutoCAD is a 2-D and 3-D computer-aided drafting software application used in architecture, construction, and manufacturing to assist in the preparation of blueprints and other engineering plans. Professionals who use AutoCAD are often referred to as drafters.

AutoCAD is a computer-aided design software program used by professionals in fields such as architecture, interior design, civil engineering, mechanics and electronics. Aspiring drafters can complete a certificate program in AutoCAD drafting or enroll in an associate's degree in drafting and design technology.
On completion of the first year of diploma, students from the Civil or Mechanical branch can apply directly to the institutes. Getting a minimum of 55% marks in Class 10th Examinations in the core subjects- Science, Maths, and English
